frequently asked questions

What ages is the program for?
The Dirt Skills Gravity Enduro Race Team offers riders the chance to push their limits and chase elite race results and podium finishes, with expert coaching and tailored support to help you perform at your best. At the same time, our tiered structure ensures riders of all ages and abilities can join, ride with groups suited to their level, build confidence, and enjoy the trails together.

How are team selections made?

Responses are used to create a shortlist of interested riders who will meet on the trails for a ride that will determine final selections. It is an opportunity for riders and coaches to get to know each other, share some trail time, and see if we’re a great fit to race together in 2026.

This trial ride will take place at the Ironbark Gully trails on Saturday 31/01/2026 from 8:00am until 11:00am.

What dates and locations will the team be riding?
Dates and ride locations for Gold, Silver and Bronze race support programs is found on the 2026 Race Team Event Schedule.

Are race entries included in team fees?

No, riders are responsible for completing their own race entries. Race entries are completed directly through the Rocky Trail Superflow Series website. Dirt Skills provides reminders and guidance to ensure racers are entered correctly and prepared for each event.

What are the minimum bike and protective gear requirements?
Riders must wear a correctly fitted, Australian Standards approved mountain biking helmet at all times while riding with Dirt Skills. Additional protective gear like full face helmets, gloves, knee and elbow pads are a personal choice and their use is highly recommended.
A mountain bike in good working order with two functioning brakes is a must, however, you don't need an expensive, ultra bling bike to race with us.

Is insurance coverage provided?
No, Dirt Skills does not provide insurance coverage. For racers who will be attending competitive events in Superflow and events hosted by other parties, AusCycling offer great insurance packages that cover riders for both social and competitive riders.
For riders who will only compete in Superflow Events, Flip Insurance is an Event Partner for Fox Superflow® and Rocky Trail cross-country events; you can more information on Flip Insurance here:
